Will You Carry God’s Presence?
Here’s what Jesus said about your purpose and God’s presence.

Scripture:
Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
John 14:12–13
Devotional:
When Jesus returned to the Father, He didn’t leave His disciples powerless—He left them with a promise. “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses…to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8).
This was more than a commission; it was a calling into supernatural purpose. The same Spirit who anointed Jesus to bring good news to the poor, to bind up the brokenhearted, and to set captives free (Isaiah 61:1–3) now lives in us. That means we don’t just carry His message—we carry His presence.
Jesus even declared that those who believe in Him would do “greater things.” Not because we’re greater than Jesus, but because His Spirit multiplies His work through His people across the world. There's a big difference between hearing about the Holy Spirit and experiencing the Holy Spirit. And once you experience the Holy Spirit for yourself, it’s hard to keep Him to yourself!
Every conversation, workplace, classroom, or neighborhood becomes a place where Heaven touches Earth through us. We are not just spectators in the kingdom—we are carriers of it. Our purpose is clear: to be witnesses of Jesus, in both word and power, until the whole world knows.
Questions:
- What would it look like to bring the kingdom of Heaven into your everyday routines this week?
- Where is God asking you to step out in boldness and be His witness?
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, fill me with your power so that I can live as a true witness of Jesus. Give me courage to speak the good news, compassion to love the brokenhearted, and faith to believe that signs and wonders will follow as I walk in Your purpose. May my life point others to You everywhere I go. Amen.
