Your Faith Can Change Generations | Keep Talking

In this final message of our “For The One” series, we heard from young and gifted communicators who are being impacted by our church’s vision to Get There First! Use this guide to keep talking about how we can reach the nations today and generations tomorrow.

• What’s something you’ve rushed to be first for, and was it worth it (e.g., kids calling “shotgun,” a Black Friday sale, opening of a theme park, etc.)?  

KEEP TALKING

• Pastor Julie asked, “What will people see because they stood next to me?” When you consider your own life, what do you hope others will see because they walked closely with you? 
• Declan said, “I am who I am today because of what God has shown me here.” How has God shaped you through community, church, or spiritual influences in your life?
• Read Galatians 1:10. In what areas of life do you wrestle most with people-pleasing, and what would it look like to shift your focus to an audience of One?
• Romans 12:1–2 calls us to offer our lives as a living sacrifice. What areas of your life feel easiest to surrender to God, and what areas feel hardest—and why?
• “Get There First” was described as more than a vision—it’s a battle cry. Where do you feel God calling you to step in, show up, or fight for someone spiritually?

KEEP IT GOING

• Our team put together 10 questions to help you reflect on the legacy you’re leaving. Take time to process these questions so you can better answer, “What will people see because they stood next to me?” 

PRAYER

Father, thank you for loving us and saving us. What other response do we have besides worship? May our lives be pleasing to you. Help us win the race to the heart of the next generation. Show us who in our lives can get a better glimpse of you because they’re standing next to us. Amen.
