This Is Why Church Still Matters | Keep Talking

In this message, Pastor Julie shared the power of community, the difference between being connected and being committed, and the power of one Church on one mission. Use this guide to keep talking about what it means to live out our faith together.

• The Church is referred to as a bride, a body, and a house in Scripture. When you think about the Church, which picture connects with you the most and why? 
• There are 59 verses in the New Testament that talk about the necessity of community—love one another, forgive one another, be patient with one another, and so many more. How has being in a church community helped your spiritual growth? 
• Read Psalms 92:12-14. What helps you stay planted in the house of the Lord, especially when life feels busy or messy?
• In the story of the Prodigal Son, the older son viewed himself as a slave (Luke 15:29). He thought his identity was something to be achieved rather than something to be received. How do you recognize when you’re slipping into that same mindset with God? 
• Pastor Julie challenged us to view the Church as our home, not an Airbnb. What would it look like for you to “do life” in God’s house this week?
