When You Can’t Hold It All Together | Keep Talking
All the Feels | Week 2
Christ Fellowship Team
December 7, 2025
In this message, Pastor Todd shared how we can be anxious for nothing this holiday season, even in the midst of our tasks, to-dos, and trials. Use this guide to keep talking about how to walk in the peace God has for you.
SERMON HIGHLIGHTS
- Jesus cares about empty things.
- Invite Jesus to the party.
- Involve Jesus in the process.
- Sometimes the miracle you’re praying for isn’t the miracle you actually need.
- God can work out whatever you’re worried about.
- When you bring Jesus everything, you can be anxious for nothing.
KEY SCRIPTURES
START TALKING
- What’s the most memorable party you’ve ever been to—good or bad—and what made it unforgettable?
KEEP TALKING
- Pastor Todd said, “Whatever you invite into your life shapes your life.” What do you think you’ve “invited” into your life in this season (e.g., joy, comparison, pressure, gratitude, anxiety, etc.)?
- We usually feel the most anxiety when we believe we are responsible for holding everything together and working everything out. Where do you notice the ‘I’ in your anxIety—the places where you feel responsible for managing a miracle?
- God often works “behind the scenes.” Can you think of a time in your life when you realized God had been working something out long before you could see it?
- How does that realization shape your faith for the situation you’re facing now?
- Mary said, “Do whatever He tells you” in John 2:5. What is one area where you sense Jesus asking you to obey or trust Him—even if His instructions feel ordinary, repetitive, or pointless?
- How might obedience in that area open the door for peace or provision?
- Philippians 4:6–7 says to bring everything to God in prayer. What would it look like for you to simply bring God your burden this week—not your blueprint for a miracle—and release the outcome to Him?
KEEP IT GOING
- Your year can end better than it started—but it begins by inviting the Prince of Peace to the party. Check out these resources to help you keep Jesus in the center of the season and reset your social media so it can support your peace instead of stealing it.
PRAYER
Father, thank you for showing up every time we invite you. We’re so grateful to serve a God who doesn’t just resurrect things—you also refill empty things. Help us trust you with the process as we bring you our problems so we can live anxious for nothing! We invite you into every aspect of our lives this week—our relationships, our schedules, and our mindsets. Amen.
