In this message, Pastor Ryan kicked off a new series on the life of Joseph. Joseph’s journey shows us how God plants dreams in us—not just for our future, but to shape who we’re becoming along the way. Use this guide to keep talking about the message and the dreams God has placed inside of you.
SERMON HIGHLIGHTS
- God has a dream for your life.
- God wants to show you His dream for your life.
- The dream God gives you will be less about what you do and more about who you become.
- Be careful who you share your dreams with.
- Even when your situation doesn’t look good or feel good, God can work it for your good.
KEY SCRIPTURES
START TALKING

KEEP TALKING
- What dreams has God placed in your heart?
- Your God-given dream won’t be about you—it will be about others. Who might your dream impact?
- Read Genesis 50:20. Think about a situation in your life that doesn’t look good or feel good right now. How would your perspective change if you viewed that situation through the lens of Joseph’s words in Genesis 50:20?
- There is always a pit stop on the way to the palace (or your purpose). What “pit stops” have you made in your life? How can you see God’s hand at work when you reflect on that season?
- What will you do with the dream God has placed in your heart this week? What is one step you can take to pursue that dream?
KEEP IT GOING
- As you ask the Lord to reveal His dream for you, check out this quiz to help you identify your visionary strengths. It’s a fun way to learn more about how God has wired you!
PRAYER
Father, thank you for working all things together for our good. Please show us our purpose, open our eyes to what you want to do through us, burden our hearts for what breaks yours, and give us the wisdom and discernment to walk in our calling. We love you. Amen.
