How God Wants To Use You

Start Talking – Find conversation starters for the group or with a friend.

What is something that you get excited about and love to share with others [sports team, TV show/movie, restaurant, book]?
When is the last time you shared your faith in Jesus with someone else? How did that conversation go?

Keep Reading – Read the Scripture and ask a question to get the group thinking.

Read these Scriptures out loud:

John 17:18 & John 20:21

In the same way that you, Father, gave me a mission in the world, I give them a mission in the world.

As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.

Were you aware that every believer in Jesus has the same mission that Jesus Himself had during His earthly ministry – to bring people into the Kingdom of God through faith in Jesus?
How does knowing that you are on mission for Jesus impact your life? Are you actively living out this mission?

Romans 10:13-14

Keep Talking – Choose questions to create openness.

1. The MESSAGE needs a MESSENGER.

Have you shied away from sharing Jesus with people? Why is that? What is holding you back?
Take a moment to read 2 Cor. 1:4 and Acts 1:4-5,8. What do you see in these verses regarding sharing your faith in Jesus?

2. The POWER has a PURPOSE.

Jesus has not only given us a mission, but He’s also given us the power – the divine enablement – to do it. This power comes through what the Bible calls the baptism with the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:5).
What is your God-story? What was your life like before Christ, how did you come to realize you needed Jesus, and what difference has He made in your life?

3. What you BELIEVE will determine how you BEHAVE.

Take a moment to read Acts 4:8-13.
How do you see Peter and John’s belief in Jesus impacting their behavior? What else stands out to you in this passage?

Keep Moving/Going – Commit to a step and live it out this week.

Who are 2-3 people in your life (family, friends, coworkers, neighbors) who need to hear about Jesus? Be intentional about praying for them, and take time to write down your God-story?
Pick one of this week’s key Scriptures and make it a reminder in your phone. Spend a few minutes repeating it and thinking about it each day.
