Favor Is Coming, but So Is the Fight
Four Crucial Questions for Your Life | Week 2
Christ Fellowship Team
July 13, 2025
In this message, we learned how to stay focused on our God-given dreams through disappointments, distractions, and temptations. Use this guide to keep talking about how to fight for the future you want!
SERMON HIGHLIGHTS
- God can take a chapter of our life that feels like punishment and use it as preparation.
- God can give you favor in the place you didn’t pick—but the challenge is to be faithful where you are, with what you have.
- Since the enemy can’t take your favor, he will try to cause you to forfeit it.
- Joseph chose integrity over impulse.
- You can trust that God is with you here, even if you haven’t gotten there.
- Because God’s faithfulness isn’t tied to favorable places, our faithfulness shouldn’t be either.
KEY SCRIPTURES
START TALKING
- When you were growing up, what was your dream job?
KEEP TALKING
- Joseph was given a vision from God at a young age, yet his circumstances in Genesis 39 seemed to contradict the dream God gave him. When have you felt like your current reality didn’t match the calling or dream you believe God gave you? How did you respond in that season?
- This message reminded us, "we’re not stuck—we’re stationed.” How might your perspective shift if you saw your current position, job, or hardship as a divine assignment rather than a setback?
- Read Genesis 41:52. Think about a situation in your life that feels difficult right now. How might God be making you fruitful in the middle of that struggle?
- Joseph consistently resisted temptation “day after day.” What rhythms, boundaries, or habits help you stay spiritually strong and resist the daily pull of sin or compromise?
- What would it look like for you to fight for your future this week? In what ways do you need to be faithful where you are? What boundaries do you need in place to protect your integrity?

Father, we’re so grateful that we can trust you in every season and every situation. We believe we are moving from strength to strength because you are with us. Help us walk in integrity.
